Here's pictures of me at the hospital (October 31 and November 1 & 2, 2003). Click on the photos to see larger versions of them.
Here's me in my warmer after I was cleaned up. I wasn't quite warm enough for the nurses so I was put under the toaster to warm up.

I'm a tarheel! (that's the name given to inhabitants of North Carolina). Actually it is ink - the nurses wanted footprints for their records. For security purposes, I think - sort of like a fingerprint.
Here's the nurses putting my footprint to paper.

Still in the warmer getting a tan (that's my Daddy's hand there)
All clean and warm an in the arms of my Mummy. I like it here!

Here's me with Doctor Inge. He's the wonderful man who brought me into this world. Dr Inge wanted to leave to go home in time to be with his family and do Halloween "trick-or-treat", so I oblidged by arriving just in time.

Here's me and my Dad. Its now Saturday morning. The nurses were looking after me overnight in the nursery, so Mum & Dad could get some sleep, and now they've just brought me back into the room.
Here's my Mummy! I had wondered for a long time what she looked like on the outside. Now I know - cute like me!
Today was a day for visitors, and I had plenty. Here's Gail and Alfred Christensen (my surrogate grandparents) doting over me!
The Trents came over to see me too. Here's Elizabeth and Harrison.
Aunty Carmen came by too. I just know I'm going to like her! The pretty blanky was made by Jess Pillmore. Jess and husband Chris Beaulieu came with Carmen to visit.
Here's Jess. Thanks for the lovely blankey Jess!

Arlene, one of my nurses took very good care of me and gave Mum & Dad lots of advice as to how to take care of me. The nurses had 12 hour shifts, so I had many to look after me, but I think Arlene was my favourite!

There's the Daddy again.
We were also visited by the lovely Kouri family, Dick, Gerrie and Amanda. Here's Amanda spending some quality time with me.
And finally, I'm exhausted after a long day of visits. The nurses took me away for a weighing (I went from 6lb 9oz to 6lb 3oz, perfectly normally for newborns like me) and a light wash and some new clothes. Any my new nurse Sheila put a cute little southern-belle bow in my hair!

Its now Sunday and today I went home. I had a checkup by my pediatrician (so that I was OK to go home), and Mum got the OK from her doctor too. Then my luggage consultant (aka Dad) packed up all my stuff and took it to the car, then came back for me and Mum. Here's me in my going-home outfit. Mum & Dad and quite pleased that I sleep all the time!
Still asleep! I'm in my carseat now (complete with my comfy wooly car seat cover from the Kouris) ready to leave to go home. Of course we went via Starbucks on the way home so we could all have Frappuccinos (I'll have mine later!) plus the bagel shop for some lunch.
Home at last. I'm not too heavy yet. Just as we arrived the Kouri family arrived with baloons for the mailbox (how nice!). Dick help bring in my bags as they were too heavy for me.
Yes - still asleep! I didn't wake on the trip home (I suspect my staff will be using the car as a get-Zoe-to-sleep trick in the future).
Soon after Dick, Gerrie and Amanda left to go help at Raleigh Little Theatre, Gail and Alfred arrived with a big tray of Lasagna - yum! Then soon after than, Bob and Charlene dropped by and brought big trays of marinated chicken, macaroni and cheese, and vegetables. So we won't have to worry about cooking for the week - what lovely friends we have!

For the next few weeks, I'll be in my bassinet in Mum & Dad's room. They have a wireless video/audio monitor set up (I wonder who's the gadget freak in this house?) so they can monitor me from anywhere in the house. It's called "Zoe Cam". The picture is Arun and Anna. Arun is my Mummy's brother. They were both killed in a car crash in 1997. I'm Anna's namesake.
