I'm upstairs in my play room practicing my sitting up. My crescent-shaped pillow helps me stay upright. Check out a movie of my sitting action! (5 MB file)

Happy birthday to me! I'm 6 months old today.

[30 April 2004, age ] Aunty Jen gave me this new outfit - she sent me these overalls some time ago, but I just started to fit it now. It's reversible so expect to see me in the "other side" soon!

[30 April 2004, age ] I still love my swing. As part of my daily ritual, I play in my swing for 15 minutes or more. My current toy is the dolphin that Grandma Rakkar bought me in Melbourne. If you squeeze it, it makes a dolphin sound, sort of.

[25 April 2004, age ] My new trick is to sit up. I can't do it unaided yet, but I'm getting there. Here I am playing with Mummy while sitting up in my bassinet. Mummy explained to me that I should hang on to the sides so I don't fall over - I'm working on that.

[25 April 2004, age ] I'm a big girl now! See - I almost don't fit in my bassinet anymore. I've come a long way haven't I?

[24 April 2004, age ] We're going out this afternoon to see Amanda in her school play, Guys & Dolls. I had to get dressed up of course. This new outfit came from Gerrie - its for a purple smocked dress with ribbon trim. Very nice!

[21 April 2004, age ] Here's a new outfit: Jim & KC Coolbah gave me this outfit at the baby shower before I was born. Its pink check with little flower embroidery. And it fits me nicely now. I wore it out tonight since we were going out for dinner with Carmen at the Southend Brewery.

[17 April 2004, age ] Back home again in my high chair. And I've grown too - compare this photo with one taken 7 weeks ago.

[13 April 2004, age ] Here's me with Ted. Ted, Nat, Craig and Ann came over tonight and we had drinks prior to going out to a Vietnamese restaurant for dinner.

[13 April 2004, age ] No, my staff didn't put my blankie on me - I did! I'm in my crib in Melbourne and yes, I'm asleep like this! It makes it nice and dark, and my blankie is nice and smooth on my face.

[11 April 2004, age ] My Goddaddy Peter was also up at Domaine, so I got a chance to catch up with him as well.

[11 April 2004, age ] I'm up at Domaine Chandon meeting my new fans. Here's Kati explaining her views of the world to me. Kati and my Mum have know each other for donkey's years.

[09 April 2004, age ] Me and my Mummy at the Melbourne Zoo.

Click the image for a larger version
[09 April 2004, age ] The Zoo was lots of fun. I got to see lots of animals including butterflies, elephants, lions, a leopard and many others. Unfortuatenly I couldn't see the giraffes - my eyelids got in the way!

[09 April 2004, age ]

We're all ready to go out to the Melbourne Zoo! I'm in a new outfit that Mummy bought me in Brisbane.

And in celebration of going out, I recited a new song I just created!

[07 April 2004, age ] There were a lot of firsts this trip. This was the site of my dip in the ocean - the Pacific Ocean. This is the beach at Mudjimba. Dad carried me to the ocean and dipped my feet into the water.

It's late afternoon and here's the view of the Twin Waters Resort from our balcony. The building we were staying in was a set of "lagoon suites" - the building is on stilts in the water. When Mum & Dad & Granddad went catermaraning, they came right out to our balcony!

Here's the paroramic view (photo scrolls right-left).

[06 April 2004, age ] After my swim, I had a nice warm bath then a new outfit. This one Mummy and Aunty Jen bought me when they went shopping in Brisbane.

[06 April 2004, age ] I'm in the pool! Its a bit cold and quite a bizarre experience - sort of like a bath but bigger. Check out the video of my swimming action! (5.7 MB file)

[06 April 2004, age ] Me and my Dad, just before my first swim. Aunty Jen bought the purple swimming costume, plus the purple/orange sun shirt that I'm wearing on top.

[06 April 2004, age ] My swimming costume! Aunty Jen bought it for me - it is purple with shiny silver love hearts on it. I also have a water nappy on so I don't leave "messages" in the pool.

[05 April 2004, age ] I got this rocking horse from Grandma & Grandad Watts for Christmas. I'm a bit too little to know how to sit on it and hold on, so Grandma showed me how to do it. Unfortunately it is too big to come back home with us in our luggage, but Grandad said he would ship it back. Its a beauty!

[03 April 2004, age ] My other grandmother arrived from Melbourne today. So I have three grandparents with me now. We all had lunch. Clockwise from the bottom are: Sarah, Peter (my cousins), Uncle Nick, Mummy, Grandma Watts, Aunty Jen, Grandad Watts, Grandma Rakkar, and me! It was a great Aussie lunch: meat pies and sausage rolls! I had my formula (Aussie formula however!)

[03 April 2004, age ] I met my cousins Peter and Sarah for the first time today. They are Dad's sister's kids. They had been over to see me twice before, but I had been asleep! They are lots of fun to play with.

[03 April 2004, age ] Here's a trendy summer outfit that Gail & Alfred gave me just before we left for Australia. It has one of those trendy tops that shows your midriff. The pants are a little bit big right now, but they'll fit before the American summer is finished. Want to see an animated sequence of me?

[03 April 2004, age ] Me on the deck, at 6 in the morning! I've already had a feed (thanks Dad) and now I'm just relaxing on the deck, checking out the view of the Brisbane skyline. It's not too sticky this time of morning (by about 9am it was 23°C / 73°F with 92% humidity - muggy).

[02 April 2004, age ] This champagne was a bottle of vintage Moët & Chandon which my Mum & Dad sent to Calvin & Mae on the safe arrival of Alexander. It was very nice! Here's also a video of the gathering (3.9 MB file): there's me & Alexander, Calvin & Mae, Mum & Dad, and Jo & Alan.

[02 April 2004, age ] We're about to go out to church to visit with Father Jonathan to talk about my Christening on Sunday. So I had on one of my new summer outfits. Its a white dress with purple flowers on it. And a purple bow in my hair too to finish off the ensemble.

[31 March 2004, age ] Finally we've arrived in Brisbane, however, I'm exhausted! Here's the girls: me, my Mum, and Dad's Mum at Brisbane Airport.

[30 March 2004, age ] To while away the time on the plane, I listened to a little music (some Mozart) on my noise-cancelling headphones. The nice lady at the Admiral's Club was very nice to us and blocked a seat between Mum and Dad's seats so I could stretch out. Got a pillow too.

Click the image for a larger version
[30 March 2004, age ] My first plane trip! We're taking off, and Mum is feeding me so my ears will pop without hurting. I didn't mind flying - a few landings hurt a bit, but that's about all.

[30 March 2004, age ] I can sleep anywhere! Here I am at the Admiral's Club (American Airlines equivalent of Qantas Club), just before we caught the flight to Dallas.
