I'm four! The good news today is the Grandpa Shiv is flying in to spend a few days with me. I had a mini sleep-in before coming in to Grandma and Grandad's bed for a snuggle.
I had a pretty relaxing morning and while Grandad and Daddy were out having lunch with Dick, Grandma and I played games and stuff. Mummy had to go to work unfortunately.
In the evening, we went to the airport to pick up Grandpa Shiv. He flew in from England where he's still working. He decided to drop in on his way to Costa Rica so that was great. Grandad and I went to the airport and met him there (I ran to him when I saw him to give him a big hug). We came home and Grandma made us a yummy baked lamb dinner, complete with veggies and baked potatoes.

Today was fun but once again, a very exhausting day. Mummy had to go to work, and Grandma and I stayed home and played while Dad and Grandad went out shopping. Grandpa was also home and he pottered around doing work and generally relaxing. Then we went out to lunch at Schlotsky's (Grandma's favourite place) where we met Mummy for lunch. Grandpa decided to stay home however.
In the afternoon, Daddy, Grandma, Grandad, and I went to Pullen Park for a nice afternoon outside. I played on the swings then we all rode on the train, then I went on the merry-go-round with Grandad and then we had a icecream. It was a bit cold and windy so there were very few people around, so much so that we were the only ones on the train and there was only one other boy on the carousel with me.
By the time we got home, Mummy was already home so we all played a bit together then got ready to go out to dinner with Bob and Charlene. We had dinner with them at Nelson's which was nice. Charlene & Bob gave me a present of a great game involving worms and rotten apples. After dinner, we all went to Starbucks where Bob, Charlene, Mummy and I played the game - that was fun. The others just watched on and chatted.
It was quite late by the time we got home, and I went to sleep pretty much straight away (although I did put in a request to watch a little bit of TV).

This morning after a sleep in, I went to Little Gym for my weekly gymnastics class. Grandad Keith, Grandma Dorothy and Grandpa Shiv all came with me and Daddy to see me in action. They said they were most impressed with my abilities! Then we all went to Bear Rock Cafe for lunch (one of my favourite places) then went outside and I got to throw some pennies in the fountain. Since Mummy didn't come with us (she stayed home to work on the goodie bags for my friends coming to the party later today), we brought her home some lunch too.
I had some quiet time on Grandpa's bed for a short time, while Daddy sorted out pizza and filled our eskies (coolers) with milks and water for my friends. Then I came down and played with my Lego for a bit then wanted to watch a program on nickjr.com on Grandad's computer while he and Daddy went to Best Buy to buy Grandad a new memory card for his camera.
Now off to our party!

Party!
This afternoon was my birthday at Little Gym and it was really really really great fun. All my friends from school came (there were 18 of us) plus their respective parental associates were there. Gerrie and Amanda came too which was great. Miss Kara and Miss Danielle were the ones from Little Gym that took care of us.
My party was a pirate theme and we had a great time. I introduced each of my class mates and them they each did their pirate impersonation. We played with the parachute and we took turns knocked over the wedge shaped mat. They we all played on the airtrack. In amongst all of those things we had lots of free time on the all the gym equipment.
Then after that, we went to the multipurpose room (where I do my dance class) and we had our pizza there then we had pirate cake. Everyone sang happy birthday to me too.
After we said goodbye to everyone and gave them each a pirate treasure bag, we packed up our stuff and two big bags of presents and went home. I then got to open all of them - wow! I didn't get to play with them, since it was quite late. I hope I'll play with some of them tomorrow though.
A great party, but I'm tired now!

Well it was really good that Grandma and Grandad (and Grandpa Shiv) where here to visit, but now they've gone home. The last few days they were here was spent around town.
On Sunday, we took Grandpa to the airport and Mummy also went to the airport separately to be in Las Vegas for a few days (she's back now) then just pottered about. In the afternoon, Daddy, Grandad and I went to the park (Shelley Lake) to feed the ducks and play on the playgym there.
On Monday we (Grandma, Grandad, Daddy and I) went to Pullen Park where we rode on the train there and the merry-go-round. It was a bit cold so we had the place just about to ourselves. We were the only ones on the train and there was only one other boy on the merry-go-round. Mind you, that didn't stop us having an icecream.
Daddy and I took them to the airport on Tuesday morning then I went back to school. It was great to have a week of stay-at-home days, but it was also good to be back at school.

This past weekend was fun. On Saturday morning, instead of going to Little Gym for my gymnastics class, we went into Raleigh to see the Christmas Parade. There were lots of bands and dancers and floats going past, and even a big Shamu whale balloon. My favourite part was the group of kids doing skipping rope. We were there primarily so Daddy could take photos of the Cinderella cast on their float for the theatre. It was a bit cold, but fortunately I had a blanket and was all rugged up.
After the parade, we went to Mellow Mushroom for pizza for lunch. I like it there (I've been a few times with Katie), and I like to call it Mellé Mushroom. In the afternoon, I had a brief rest (no nap though, just reading books), then Katie came over to play with me.
On Saturday night, while Katie and I played, Mummy & Daddy were going out to the Ice Hockey to see the Hurricanes play. Daddy won two tickets to the game, sitting in the IBM Suite. Not only did they get to sit in style and watch the game, food and drinks were also laid on. A nice way to see the game so I'm told. They're thinking of taking me to the game soon too.
On Sunday, Mummy went to the theatre to run lights for Reluctant Dragon. Daddy and I got some lunch at Schlotsky's and we had it at the park where Taylor had her birthday party. I played in the sandpit, and on the slides and on the swing. Then we went to Target and bought me some new shoes - did you know I now wear size 11 shoes? How about that.
We stayed at home for a little while, then off we went to the theatre to see the last performance of Reluctant Dragon. It was the fourth time I'd seen the show and I enjoyed it just as much. I really liked the dragon. After the show, we stayed on and helped strike the set. It was really a lot of fun and I got to play with everyone in the show. After that, we all went to the green room and had dinner together. It was a late night but a really fun day and weekend.

Last Thursday was Thanksgiving and we had dinner at our house along with Dick, Gerrie and Amanda, and Bob and Charlene. Everyone brought some of the food we eat - Bob made his deep-fried turkey again (which is really good and not at all greasy). Gerrie, Charlene and Mummy made the other stuff. I got to have lots of play time with Amanda which was really good.
Friday was also a special stay-at-home day. Daddy decided to brave the crowds and went to Circuit City to check out the sales. I vegged as Mummy and Daddy generally tidied up the house. On Saturday, I did my usual gymnastics class at Little Gym and in the afternoon after nap, we started putting up Christmas lights inside the house and on the front windows. In the evening we went to Sushi Thai for dinner.
On Sunday, in the afternoon, we went to Marbles, the new kids museum in downtown Raleigh, then had dinner at Good Times, a local chili restaurant.
All in all, a good weekend. So much so, that this morning, Monday, I was asleep until Daddy woke me at 7:50am.
