Grandad Keith is picking up his new car today. It's a 2006 Renaullt Megane Cabriolet Coupe. Click on the little photo to see a larger version. Dad's old car, a 14 year-old Ford Capri soft-top broke down the other day and the repairs are probably almost as much as the value of the car. I think Grandad's going to call it "Meg".

On another note, did you know that I'm 37" (about 94cm) tall. I've grown an inch in 6 months. In addition, my friend Elmo is 24½", and Baa Baa is just under 14". Rabbie is too little to reach the bottom of the chart. Daddy's much taller, except when he sits on the floor where I'm taller than him (and I like to climb up on him like a monkey).

Still in my nightie at 5 in the afternoon!I had a fun day today, and I spent most of it in my Ariel nightie! This morning Mummy, Daddy and I played in the house. Daddy made waffles and since it was a "stay-at-home day", I got to watch some morning TV. We played with some of my toys including some new jigsaw puzzles Mummy bought me yesterday after my haircut with Lewie. Daddy then put some "ballerina music" on (classical music) and I pretended I was a ballerina with my pretty nightie on. Then we rearranged the furniture in the lounge room (because it was time, Mummy said).

Then I finally got dressed out of my nightie (I really like it). and we went to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. Mummy wanted to go especially because there was a space exhibit there. I also wanted to see the dinosaurs (although once I saw them I was scared of them!). We had lunch there too. I quite liked the bugs and stuff. We went to a "meet the animals" session and I got to touch three snakes! However I didn't like the big whale skeletons that were suspended from the ceiling. We spend most of the afternoon there and I managed to skip my afternoon nap. On the way home, we stopped at Ben & Jerry's and got some ice cream.

Once I got home, I changed back into my nightie and watched one of my programs, then while Mummy had a brief nap, Daddy and I played tea party upstairs. The we all got some chips and drinks to watch the Superbowl on TV. We had pizza for dinner, but I didn't each too much of that (too many chips). I got to watch the first half of the game but then it was my bedtime. And this is the first night where I'm not wearing a nappy to bed - how about that!

Check out my new ballerina video - I love dancing (but not in dance class!). I especially love dancing in my pretty nightie!

A fun weekend!

I've had a great weekend. On Friday night, Katie and I played at her house while Mummy and Daddy when to the theatre to see A Raisin in the Sun. We didn't go out but instead, had a pyjama party at her house which was lots of fun. When the parental units came to pick me up we were both fast alseep on Katie's sofa.

Then on Saturday, yesterday, in the morning, Daddy and I hung out while Mummy went clothes shopping. We first went to the library to drop off some books then get some new ones, then we went to the local Fresh Market to get some lunch (quiche and some nice chicken salad) to eat back home. Then after nap, I did some painting. You can see what I painted in Dad's video and photos.

Then last night, we went to the circus with Kate and Katie! Now that was a lot of fun. We got to see clowns and horses and elephants and white tigers and trapese artists and lots more. It was really good. Daddy wasn't allowed to bring in his big camera so all he had was the little camera that does video as well. I was pretty tired by the end of it though.

And this morning, I got to go on a playdate at Zack's house. There was me, Zack, Rae and Manav. We got there at 10am and we had so much fun. Zack's parents Jackie and Jed were there to look after us and Jackie had arranged all sorts of fun activies including a treausre hunt outside Zack's back yard. We had hotdogs for lunch too. Mummy and Daddy came back at 1pm to pick me up (they got to go to the coffee shop and read the paper and do other stuff), and I came home for a nap.

Phew, what a fun weekend.

Overheard in the car on the way home from dinner:

Zoe: My tummy's really big. Maybe I'm going to have a baby?
Mummy: Oh?
Zoe: Yes, I'm having a baby. She's going to be Emily, with an "F".

[Editor's note: This week was "F" week at preschool]

So you probably read that I didn't do very well at my ballet class. Mummy said I was the first baby in history to be evicted from ballet class, but I just didn't like it and I didn't know anybody there. However, I've found a new class that I like. I've been twice now, to Little Gym where I go to their Preschool gymnastics class for 3-4 year olds called "Funny Bugs", and it's really really fun. I went yesterday and last Saturday.

The first class I did with my friend Manav. I ran to him when I arrived, we took our shoes and socks off and we were ready to run in to the room to start playing! We did some lots of gymnastics and games. I played on the uneven bars, and full-sized balance beam. On the bars, I was able to hang from them and lift up my feet to touch the bar and swing like that. Manav and I played up and ran around too, but it was OK. They also had a big blow-up thing called an "air track" where we did some summersaults and jumping and rolling.

I'm looking forward to the next time I can go! Daddy wants to take photos next time too. Maybe I'll let him.
